IT Support Engineer
Location: Brussels
The Senior Network Engineer role is part of the Connectivity Services Squad within the Infrastructure and Collaboration Services team of a large financial institution. The primary goal is to support, design, and implement reliable, secure, and cost-efficient network solutions. The squad manages WAN and WLAN connectivity for various locations, network authentication, and remote access, following Agile work methods.
Your responsibilities
- Provide L2 network support and troubleshoot incidents.
- Translate business needs into IT network solutions.
- Implement new network devices and topologies.
- Ensure network solutions are aligned with current processes.
- Maintain and monitor assets using standard tools.
- Participate in a 24/7 on-call schedule.
Your profile
- 5+ years in Network Engineering, particularly in Cisco routing, switching, wireless, and remote access.
- Cisco Professional certifications (CCNP level preferred).
- Experience configuring and troubleshooting Cisco networks and devices.
- Proficiency in network monitoring, troubleshooting, and configuration management tools.
- Good communication, analytical skills, customer orientation, and flexibility.
- Bachelor/Master in IT Network administration or equivalent experience.
- Fluency in English, and good proficiency in French and Dutch.
