SDWAN Network Engineer

Function description

Join our team as an SDWAN Network Engineer, where your expertise in network and security engineering will be pivotal. With at least 5 years of experience, you'll bring your extensive knowledge in SD-WAN technologies, including network configuration, firewall setup, and routing protocols. Your role will involve troubleshooting, ensuring network security, and optimizing cloud networking. Exposure to Fortinet and Meraki SD-WAN solutions is crucial, as well as experience with WAN technologies like MPLS and IPVPN. Proficiency in Palo Alto and Fortinet is essential. Your analytical skills, communication abilities, and attention to detail will drive success in this position.

Your responsibilities

  • Validate design and solutions in the field of (SD)WAN and discuss them with presales and success managers.
  • Discuss (SD)WAN solutions with customers and suggest improvements if necessary.
  • Implement (SD)WAN solutions as defined with the customer and carry out the required performance tests.
  • Plan and create migration documentation (scenario/actions/responsibilities) and execute them.
  • Execute change requests and manage incident tickets (with Root Cause Analysis, if necessary)
  • Collaborating with our engineering teams and senior-level colleagues within other technology teams for integrated solutions.
  • Remote and on-site interventions can be during or outside business hours.

Job requirements:

  • You have strong analytical skills and anticipate the impact of possible solutions to complex problems.

Technical knowledge:

  • You have at least 5 years of experience in WAN (MPLS, IPVPN) and/or SD-WAN networks (vendors Fortinet, Meraki)
  • Experience of network security is a plus (Firewalls vendors Palo Alto, Fortinet)

Other requirements:

  • Fluency in French (written and orally)
  • Good knowledge of English and Dutch (written and orally)
  • Willing to provide support outside of business hours and becoming part of an on-call guard

Work Conditions

  • 60% telework and 40% onsite.
